TOTAL RAISED SO FAR FOR VARIOUS CHARITIES IS:- £3,678.17!!!!!
since we opened in December 2015 aswell as donating gifts to the Salvation Army for children over christmas and donating prizes for many fundraisers we have raised money for various charities and had a couple of people hold fundraising events within our shop.
The charities who we have raised funds for are:-
* The Salvation Army:- Ian conquered his fear of heights and completed the abseil down Joseph Groom Towers in Ellesmere Port to raise money for The Salvation Army. He managed to raise £240!!!
* The Hospice of the Good Shepherd:- For our stores Grand Opening we raised money for The Hospice of the Good Shepherd in memory of Ians nan Amy. In total we managed to raise £99.11p (which we rounded upto £100
* Make A Wish UK:- We sold handmade items, held a fundraising day and done a raffle. we managed to raise £297.10p, which we rounded up to £300.
* 7 different charities benefited from Emma cutting 20 inchs of her hair off - and sending it to the little princess trust - and then shaved the rest off.... and to raise a little extra Ian had his shaved off at the last minute also!! total raised was a massive £1,280.70p!!!!! the charities who received a share of this were ..... -Alder Hey -The Salvation Army, Ellesmere Port - Cancer Research Kids & Teens UK -The British Heart Foundation -Make A Wish UK -Hospice of the Good Shepherd
* The British Heart Foundation:- Emma & Ian took part in the Glasgow to Edinburgh trek and managed to raise a brilliant £502! They ended up with trench foot, inflamed knees and couldn't walk properly for over a week but they managed to be 2 of the 88 who crossed the finish line (220 started the trek)
* PAPYRUS:- We held a fundraising day to help out a family member who wanted to raise money for this great charity, during the event Connor shaved of his much loved long hair!! total raised was £630.75!!!
* BLISS:- Andrew aged 5 and Aaron aged 4 wanted to help poorly children by doing a sponsored walk so we helped them and raised a brill £160 they managed to walk the whole 5 miles dressed as superheroes!!
* CHILDREN WITH CANCER UK:- Andrew, Aaron and their sister Amelia wanted to help more poorly children. So we signed them up through the shop to take part in the "Mr Men & Little Miss Marathon Challenge" they have been doing 26 different challenges at the shop and so far have raised a massive £464.72!!! and they still have 11 challenges to do!!!
