DENISE BOOTH:- I have always enjoyed arts and crafts as a family, both growing up and with my own children. After attending several community Art and Craft courses from 2004, I was granted a place on a Foundation Art Degree course at West Cheshire College. I specialised in Fine Art and went on to be awarded a place on a Fine Art course at Liverpool John Moores University, graduating in July 2011 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. Although I specialised in Fine Art, I have always enjoyed crafts and learning new techniques, many of which I incorporated into my artwork, creating mixed media paintings and sculptures and continue to use them today. I spent my final year at university researching into the origins and benefits of community arts centers and the therapeutic effect that they can bring to those who take advantage of the sessions on offer. I believe that arts and crafts need to be accessible and affordable to everyone as the benefits can be great. Art and crafts are for everyone to enjoy, young and old alike.
IAN MAYERS:- I have over 24 years of retail experience and have always love drawing and model building. I love taking my 3 children to the shop with me and helping them to make things with different materials.
EMMA MAYERS:- I have grown up doing arts and crafts and attended a few community Art and Craft courses since 2005. i have also completed a Foundation Art Degree course for Fine Art at West Cheshire College. I love all different types and styles of arts and crafts and enjoy doing them with my husband and our children. i also worked as an Activities Co-ordinator for 2 and a half years for a care home where we did all sorts of arts and crafts which the residents all enjoyed.
